Click here for photo.Stock #4694 Price: $499.00 Waltham Solid gold ladies early conversion wristwatch yellow 14kt solid gold case. Dimensions: 39mm high lug to lug by 34mm wide, not including crown. Bezel is excellent - very little wear front or back. Back is excellent - minimal wear for its age. Large Olde English monogram as you see it in the images. Excellent condition white enamel dial. Excellent original crown. 16 jewel waltham grade 68 movement winds and sets perfectly, keeps acceptable time. This gorgeous ladies' early conversion wristwatch has a LOT of gold in it, and is beautifully and intricately engraved. It is in beautiful cosmetic condition, and also great mechanical condition. Comes with its original black satin strap and gold-filled latch. Also comes with its original blue display box from a jeweler in Baltimore, Md. No doubt cost a fortune in its day. The whole watch weighs 34 grams, and I'm estimating 14 grams of that is gold. So there's GOT to be at least $250 worth of gold in the case alone. My point is, this is an EXCELLENT value for the money, considering the beautiful condition and the rarity. (Very few of these earliest wristwatches have survived in this pristine of condition.) Buy it quick! Additional images: here, here, here, here, and here. To purchase this watch, click the “buy now” button below. $6 U.S. shipping. If you are outside U.S., Paypal will bill you $6 and I will send an additional invoice for $14 ($20 total) for shipment via Intenational Express mail.

Click here for photo.Stock #4691 Price: $150.00 Zodiac Autographic wind indicator automatic Yellow gold filled bezel stainless steel back. Dimensions: 40mm high lug to lug by 33mm wide, not including crown. Bezel is good - some brass showing on lugs, but still presentable. Back is excellent - minimal wear for its age. No personalized engraving. Very good original dial. Some aging, but still presentable. Excellent replacement white crown. 17J Zodiac automatic movement sets and winds perfectly, keeps acceptable time. Solid example of this wind indicator automatic from the 1950s. The power reserve hand is a replacement as you can probably tell (the original hand for this model had an arrow on the end of it). 18mm brown leather band. This was a novelty with the early automatics. I think it was more designed to assure the public that the watch was indeed winding itself! Priced below market, taking into account the case condition and the replacement hand. Additional images: here, here, and here. To purchase this watch, click the “buy now” button below. $6 U.S. shipping. Click here for photo.Stock #4623 Price: $125.00 Rodania round, automatic with date All stainless steel case. Dimensions: 42mm high lug to lug by 34mm wide, not including crown. Bezel is excellent - very little wear front or back. Back is excellent - minimal wear for its age. No personalized engraving on back of case. The engraving on the back is factory engraving to denote model and water resistance. Excellent original dial. Excellent original crown. 17J signed Rodania automatic movement sets and winds perfectly and keeps acceptable time. The "Rodana" watch company was founded in 1930 in Grenchen Switzerland by Hans Baumgartner, according to the company website. In myu own research, I found they quickly became a perennial favorite with the big catalog merchandisers such as Becken, Otto Young, etc., for sale to independent jewelers and consumers direct. The name was later changed to Rodania for reasons unknown. They maintain a company headquarters in White Plains, N.Y., and appear to be mostly distributed in Canada. This 1960s specimen is a very nice example, with orignal crystal that has a magnifier over the date. Speidel metal band is attached. A quality watch for not a lot of money. Additional images: here, here, and here. SOLD

Click here for photo.Stock #4588 Price: $175.00 Nivada Aquamatica rare early automatic/water resistant White base metal case. Dimensions: 37mm high lug to lug by 30mm wide, not including crown. Bezel is excellent - minimal wear for its age. Back is very good to excellent - slight amount of pitting on the flat surface. Rare Oyster type screwback. No personalized engraving. Very good original dial. Very good original crown. Rare early bumper wind automatic; winds in single direction. winds, sets perfectly, keeps acceptable time. Rare early automatic watch made all the more unusual by the water resistant case design which looks very much like an Oyster case. This is not documented in the Hampel book, but is mostly likely an early A. Schild automatic movement of the "tooth design" that winds the ratchet wheel in one direction only. The movement also has a dust cover beneath the screwback (pictured). 16mm black lizo grain leather band. A rarity that should be appreciated by the collectors of early automatic watches. Additional images: here, here, here, and here. To purchase this watch, click the “buy now” button below. $6 U.S. shipping. If you are outside U.S., Paypal will bill you $6 and I will send an additional invoice for $14 ($20 total) for shipment via Intenational Express mail.

Click here for photo.Stock #4587 Price: $179.00 Lanco Large Round White base metal bezel, stainless steel back. Dimensions: 45mm high lug to lug by 37mm wide, not including crown. Bezel is excellent - very little wear front or back. Back is excellent - one small toolmark, otherwise minimal wear for its age. No personalized engraving. Very good original check-textured dial. Excellent replacement crown. 17J Cal. 1222 manual wind movement winds, sets perfectly, keeps acceptable time. Large size manual wind Lanco from the 1940s. Lanco watches were manufactured by Langendorf, founded in 1872 by Johann Kottmann and further developed by relatives, Charles, Ernst and Rudolf Kottmann. They registered many brand names over the years, including Laco and Lonville. The name is owned today by the Swatch Group but, as far as I know, is not actively promoted. They were a great watch in their day, and I suspect Swatch is waiting to find the right "niche" for this brand. 18mm lug opening fitted with used but serviceable brown genuine lizard Italian-made band. Additional images: here, here, and here. To purchase this watch, click the “buy now” button below. $6 U.S. shipping. If you are outside U.S., Paypal will bill you $6 and I will send an additional invoice for $14 ($20 total) for shipment via Intenational Express mail.
