Everything works fine on this 2-tone Datejust with regular-set date. Brand new genuine Rolex plastic cyrstal installed. Two-tone Jubilee bracelet has a moderate amount of stretch. Back is excellent - minimal wear for its age. Diamond monogram "HK" Excellent original dial. Excellent replacement crown. 17J Caliber 440 Curvex movement winds and sets perfectly, keeps acceptable time. This model was identified as the "444 Strap Model" by Gruen's material department, and as the "Royalty" by the company's marketing department. It's distinguishing feature is the large tree-trunk lugs that are notched out for the band. The tops of the lugs have a little bit of brassing on them, but the really neat thing about this watch is that the beveled eges of the back are all intact with no wear-through. This is a very tough model to find without the metal splitting in the back. This is a one-in-100 watch with respect to the back. Fitted with a new 16mm brown leather band. The "Brock" is an essential Hamilton and reflects the company's classic conservative styling. A big seller for the company, especially for service award watches for the men in the grey flannel suits during America's post-World-War-II boom era. Stock #4954 Price: $179.00 Lord Elgin 30 jewel made in USA automatic movement Yellow gold filled case. Dimensions: 38mm high lug to lug by 33mm wide, not including crown. Excellent original crown. 30J caliber 760 automatic movement winds and sets perfectly, keeps acceptable time. For a short time, the Elgin company manufactured a couple of self-winding movements to try and compete with the automatic movements from Switzerland that were flooding the American market and eroding the USA's share of the watch market. It was too little too late, and these movements were soon withdrawn from manufacture and replaced with cheaper and more reliable Swiss movements. The result is, you don't see these offered for sale very often. This is a nice example, with ebony gloss dial with gold raised markers. One piece case construction. 18mm black leather band. Excellent original dial with honey patina Excellent original signed Omega crown. Caliber 354 bumper wind automatic, 17J, serial number 14,926,086, dates this to 1954 year of production winds and sets perfectly, keeps acceptable time. Omega introduced the Constellation in 1952, so this is a rare, early model with bumper wind movement that predates the full-rotor models. Excellent original signed "JL" crown. 17J LeCoultre full rotor automatic movement winds and sets perfectly, keeps acceptable time. This superb LeCoultre Master Mariner came to me in a trade deal, and I almost dropped my jaw at the beautiful condition this is in. Still has the original circular milling marks on the back. Good timekeeper, too. I wore this on my wrist for a few days, and it kept spot-on time with the quartz clock built in to my computer. 18mm black leather band. A really fine watch. Uneven patina, but still a presentable and very readable dial. Excellent original crown. 17J full rotor automatic movement winds and sets perfectly, keeps acceptable time. This is a gorgeous, large size solid gold watch. Case weighs near 15 grams, or about half an ounce. Big presence on the wrist with lucsious long lugs. And it's a great timekeeper to boot. I wore this on my own wrist for a couple of weeks, and it was spot-on with the time, and never lost a minute on the bedstand over night. The Donald was probably Hamilton's most popular solid gold watches, due to its conservative styling ... right in line with the business mindset of the 1940s and '50s when this model was manufactured. Fitted with a new 16mm "thewatchstore.com" black leather band. Priced $50 less than what my competition was asking for these 5 years ago when gold was $400 an ounce (it's now $1,040 an ounce). Absolutely huge faceted lugs, notched out just enough so you can see the band. Extremely dramatic. You won't find a nicer one. Buy this and put it away. The Ernest Borel Co. of Kansas City, Mo., was most famous for their "cocktail watch" that came out in the 1950s. It was soon copied by many other watch manufacturers, but the Ernest Borel was the original and the best. This is a man's model, but because of its modest size would look equally well on a ladie's wrist. On a gent, looks best on a small- to medium-size wrist. Fitted with a new black leather band. This is a very unusual piece, done in style of some of the Rolex and Movado watches of the same period. Further unusual in that the back is secured with four screws. Excellent replacement crown. Gruen 17J Caliber 500 movement winds and sets perfectly, keeps acceptable time. Very desireable Gruen duo-dial doctor's model from the late 1930s. dial could probably stand to be refinished at new owner's discretion. Looks like orignal owner "bracketed" the 25-35 seconds for some reason. Good case with no splits. Photo of back is deceiving due to shadows and bright lighting.. 16mm peanut brown leather band. Excellent replacement crown. 10 jewel movement winds and sets perfectly, keeps acceptable time. Kienzel was a German company perhaps more famous for its clocks. But they made watches, too, and this is an interesting example with unusual jeweling (10 jewels). They are apparently still in business, although now the watches are made in China and distributed through a marketing company in Germany. This is one of the originals, made in Germany.
