Excellent original crown. 17j movement sets and winds perfectly, keeps acceptable time for a watch of this vintage. Very early and rare Cyma enclosed in a case that is very similar to a Depolllier. When you screw off the bezel, the inner case is revealed with the winding crown. A small tab on the edge of the inner case allows you to lift the hinging inner case from the "tub" to wind and set the watch. A very cool timepiece. Please don't wear this for everyday! The Dodson, with its tubular lugs, was a radical departure for Hamilton at the time this watch was introduced (1939) and as a result has become a kind of "cult classic" among collectors of all wristwatches, not just Hamilton collectors. Dial is a little marginal on this one, but I preferred to leave it original because you don't see this black-and-white dial version very often. Mostly you see the dial with the gold applied numbers. The gorgeous full-sized Bulova automatic date coded M2 on the back for 1962 has a spankin' black dial with luminous full Arabic numerals and a center sweep second hand. The case is one those water-resistant designs by Bulova where the crystal, dial and movement "push through" the top of the case.
